General Information The School belongs to the community and is responsible to the community. You are part of this community, as are the staff members and students.
We therefore ask for your support in this important and co-operative enterprise, the education of your children. If you show your children that you are interested in the School and what it is trying to do for them, then their attitude to the School will ensure that they gain most from their attendance.
ABSENTEES If your child is going to be absent from school, please notify the school office to let us know on:
Phone: (07) 575 5512 Text: 027 232 0446

VISITING THE SCHOOL All visitors including parents are required to enter via the school office and sign in if wishing to visit a classroom.
PERMISSION TO LEAVE SCHOOL To help us in the monitoring of children leaving the school grounds during the day, we ask that parents notify us in writing if their child is required to leave the school. Permission to “leave school pass” will be issued.
Note: If, for any reason, you need to contact your child during the school day, please do not make arrangements to meet outside the school gates. In the interests of the safety of the children, we require you to come to the Office and arrange to meet your child through the office staff

However, no responsibility can be accepted for any personal belongings given to a staff member for safe keeping in the event of accidental damage or loss.
MUFTI DAYS On a regular basis, the School has a Mufti Day with the proceeds going towards visiting performers, local charities or school resources, which directly benefit children.
USE OF SCHOOL GROUNDS OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL HOURS The School courts and areas around buildings are out of bounds after school hours (including weekends), unless individuals/groups are supervised with the authority of the Principal.
The School is patrolled regularly by a Security Firm and trespassers caught or identified will be prosecuted. All rooms throughout the School are monitored by stealth alarm systems and video surveillance cameras. An activation will result in immediate response from Security Officers, Police and Staff members.
The nature of the alarm system restricts out of school hours use of school facilities by community groups. Dogs, skateboards, and golf are prohibited in all areas.
~ our school is smoke free at all times ~
ROAD SAFETY We stress the need for Road Safety with the pupils several times during the year, but it is important that parents play a major part in encouraging their children to act responsibly on the roads. Please make regular checks on the safety of your child’s bicycle. All bicycles are required to be secured with a chain and padlock.
The wearing of cycle helmets is compulsory for all children riding to and from school or bus stops
We request that when children are being picked up by car after school the Road Rules be observed so that the safety of all our pupils is not jeopardised.
